Tylie's at it AGAIN!!!

This post is a continuation of the post that I posted last night! I just had to add this so you can see what I am dealing with! So Tylie has her cousin Carlie over right now and they are playing so good together... until I leave the room! I ran upstairs to do a couple things and they are being so quiet and I can hear them talking so I think everything is fine and dandy. Oh, I couldn't have been more wrong. I was only upstairs for a few minutes and came downstairs to find this!

I told you that I had to put my make up and polish somewhere else, well, I had painted my toes this morning and left the bottle in my bathroom on the counter. Don't they look pretty??? I about died. I was very calm though and didn't beat her like I first wanted to. Instead I calmly walked over and got my camera so I could take a picture of them before I took it away. Oh they were having the time of their lives. Tylie actually did pretty good on Carlie's toes I must say. Luckily it was only on my wood floors and my tile, so it came off easily with polish remover (and I am sure that is just wonderful for the finish on the floors). So if any of you thought you heard me yelling T-Y-L-I-E, you were right! I must admit that I did say some other words too, but I am not going to admit what they were!

Here are pics of the finished product.

Oh ya, Tylie happened to get it all over her clothes... Brand new first time worn today! Yep, happy about that too! It used to be a very cute outfit, not so much anymore!!!

I hope you enjoyed today's "Tylie's Tales 2". Stay tuned for tomorrow episode!

Tylie's Tales

I thought that I would do a post today dedicated completely to my sweet little daughter Tylie. However, I am not sure that you are going to think she is sweet after you read what she has been up to lately!

I'll start with a couple pictures that show her silly side. I don't know where she comes up with the things she does (I am sure she gets it from her daddy), but on this day she put on Bryson's hat and shoes and was walking around the house doing her little "thug" pose. What a goof!

A couple weeks ago I walked into the kitchen to find this... Tylie decided that she was hungry and took matters into her own hands and made herself some mac & cheese. She had gotten the box out of the pantry, opened it up, poured it into the pan, put the cheese on top, and got something she could use to stir it up. What a girl!

Tylie has a thing with lipstick. I have had to take all of my lipsticks out of my bathroom because she gets a chair and climbs onto the counter to find it, and then this happens! And yes, this is the kind that stays on ALL day and you CAN'T wash it off! The day AFTER this picture was taken, I was at Young Womens and all the girls kept asking what happened to her because they thought it looked like scabs!

I was getting ready one day and ran out of the room for 2 minutes and when I came back Tylie had gotten out my fingernail polish and painted her nails! She didn't do to bad, only a little bit on her skin. But, I startled her when I came in and she jumped so high that fingernail polish flew... onto the mirror, the counter, the floor, and of course on her shirt!

Tylie went to play at her aunt Mo's house last week and not even 5 minutes after she had been there I got a text from Mo with these pictures. She had gotten into Mo's makeup and went to town. She did pretty good don't ya think? The light stuff all over her face is concealer, then she has lipstick on her lips, and you can't see it very well, but she even had mascara on a few of her lashes! In the second picture you can see that her cousin Carlie is quited disgusted with her.

Last week, she made macci & cheese again! Do ya think I am starving her? But this time she actually got the right kind of pan, pushed the chair up to the stove, and was even reaching for the back of the stove to try to turn it on!

This is her most recent makeup episode. Once again, she found my lipstick, but luckily this kind came off. The first two pics are when she just had it on her eyes. I took it away and put it up, but she climbed up and got it back and then got it all over her lips (so she thought). She kept telling me that she was gorgeous! She's only 2! What am I in for???

So if you wonder what I do with all my spare time, just imagine me yelling "TYLIE"!!!

What a Flippin Mess!!!

So it has been one of those days today! I have just been doing the normal every day cleaning and picking up after my kids. I swear all that I do is follow the kids around (mainly Tylie) and clean up mess after mess. I am so sick and tired of it. I am SO ready for the boys to go back to school on Monday so we can get back into some sort of normal... whatever that may be.

Anyway, I walked down into the basement to put something away and I didn't have my shoes on. I walked past the our freezer down there and the carpet felt a little wet, so I opened the freezer to check it out. WHAT A FLIPPIN MESS is all I can say!!! Everything in there was completely thawed out and there was LOTS of meat, therefore lots of yucky disgusting red juice EVERYWHERE! And of course the meat had to be on the top shelf, so yep you guessed it, the juice had dripped onto everything else in the freezer. I about puked. It was so gross!!!

I was sick as I had to unload the entire freezer and throw it ALL away. Do you know how much money that had to have been? There was hamburger, steaks, roast, 3 turkeys (YES 3), lots of different kinds of fish, and much much more. I wanted to scream, oh wait, I actually did scream!

It took me about 2 hours to get the mess cleaned up, and the freezer washed out and bleached and bleached and bleached.

As I investigated as to why the freezer was off in the first place (thinking one of the kids must have unplugged it), I found the problem. . . . the little safety button that is on the plug outlet had popped out, therefore turning the power to that outlet off. I don't know how that happened, but it did.

So now I have a COMPLETELY empty, but VERY clean freezer. Now I have to get a carpet cleaner to clean the carpet down there. Thank heavens it is just crappy carpet that we have put down there for the kids to have their playroom.

My Little Sky Is All Grown Up!

We had such a fun night tonight. I went with my mom, dad, and Mo over to Delta to watch Skyler compete in the Miss Millard Pageant. I don't know what got into me tonight, but I would start laughing at something and just couldn't stop! At one point I had tears streaming down my face, and I was laughing so hard that I even let out a little snort!!! I don't know if my mom is going to take me anywhere again! Mo and I tend to get a little silly sometimes when we are together, and tonight was one of those nights! We have so much fun together.

Sky did awesome! It was so much fun watching her and cheering her on. I honestly can't believe that she is old enough to be doing this!

This is Sky doing a dance number that all the girls did together. What a little dancer she is.
For Skyler's talent she played the piano and was amazing! She is so talented on the piano. She has been playing for years and has even been teaching private lessons for a few years now.
This is her On Stage Interview. She was asked two different questions and did a really good job on her answers. There is no way that I could answer on the spot like that!
Isn't she gorgeous??? This is the Evening Gown portion, and her dress was by far the prettiest there... and very modest too! She did so good on her walk. I am sure that if it was me, I would have tripped at least twice!

Sky ended up winning the 2nd Attendant! Woo Hoo!

Here is the Royalty. Way to go Sky, I am so proud of you! Where did the time go? My little Sky is all grown up now!

No fun for Carson :(

Today has not been a fun day for Carson. He had to get his tonsils and adenoids taken out today. We went into the hospital at 7:00 am and he went into surgery about 8:00. He was very nervous, but he was such a brave little boy.

Here is Carson when we first got to the hospital.
Jeremy and Carson hanging out on the bed.
This is after Carson had his medicine that made him loopy! He was having a good time hanging from the bar, and doing pull ups on it.
Here is the anaesthesiologist, Shane Harrison, getting Carson ready to go.
He was SO good with Carson. Since Carson was on his "loopy" medicine, he couldn't walk, but that doesn't mean that he didn't want to try. He begged Shane to let him try to walk, so he did. About one step into it Carson started to fall, so Shane caught him!
Heading into surgery, not acting nervous one bit!
Yep, this is what Jer did while Carson was in surgery. He had a good long nap.
Carson in recovery. His oxygen kept dropping, so he had to use the mask a little bit to bring it up. He was really restless when he woke up from the anesthesia, but we got him to go back to sleep and he was much better when he woke up.
Wendy Chatland was Carson's nurse and was so good to him. She gave him this cute stuffed frog that he loves.
If you know Carson, you know he likes to do things by himself. He had so much fun wheeling himself out to the car in his wheelchair. At this point, he was pretty drugged up, so was in good spirits.
After we got home this afternoon, Carson had a pretty good nap. His aunt Mo brought him down a big bag, from her and Gram, of fun games to play and lots of goodies that he will hopefully be able to eat in the next few days. Jack and Linda also brought him some fun balloons and popsicles, they are so good to him. A little bit later Gram and Papa came down to visit.
Tonight, he has been in quite a bit of pain which is hard to watch. There isn't much we can do, but try to make him comfortable. I am hoping that he will bounce back quick and be back to himself in no time at all!

Marriage Enrichment Retreat

This weekend Jeremy and I were able to get away for 3 days with no kiddos (Thank you, thank you, thank you Mo and Mom for taking the kids)! We had such a good time. The National Guard puts on this Marriage Enrichment Retreat when the soldiers come back from their deployments. It is part of their reintigration process to try to get back to normal.... not that we know what normal is anyway, but we are working on it :)

We headed up to Park City friday afternoon. The first thing on the schedule was a Ice Cream social. Who doesn't love that? After that was over, we decided to go to dinner and a movie. I was so excited because I got to hang out with my good friend Ginger. We don't get to hang out too much, so it was tons of fun. We went to this EXCELLENT little Mexican joint for dinner. The food was so yummy, I loved it. After that, we went to see a movie. We saw Hancock and it was a good show. That wouldn't typically be the movie I would pick, but I really liked it.

Saturday we were in a conference room with different presenters all day. They all did such a great job and they gave us all sorts of great information about marriage and the keys to keep your marriage great. We got done with the classes at 3:00 and then the girls headed to do some shoppin! I went with Ginger and Camille and we headed to the outlets. I am SO happy because I am done with my boys school shopping already! I got some great deals which I always love! The girls shopped for a few hours and then the guys met up with us. Jeremy and I ended up splitting and heading to another movie which was fun.

Sunday we got up, and went to the last session of the weekend. We got done at noon and then started heading for home. The best part of my weekend was our lunch on the way home! Jeremy took me to my all time favorite restaurant..... Red Lobster! It was delicious!!! After that we headed on home and picked up the kids.
I am so glad that I had this chance to get away with my wonderful hubby and my very best friend! It has been SO nice having him home and I am loving being able to spend so much time with him since he is just hangin out at home this summer. I don't know what I'll do when he actually has to go back to work next month! I am having such a good time just getting to know each other all over again!

Not another one!!!

Okay, so my latest quest is running. I've been doing this for about 2 weeks now and it has been going really good and I am really enjoying it. It makes me feel so good and so full of energy. I run about 3 miles, and I have been trying to go every day, but some days it just doesn't work out. But each day I feel like I am a little better and can go a little farther!

So here is my latest problem..... SNAKES!!! The last three nights I have gone I have had to deal with a snake in the road! If any of you know me, you know that I am TERRIFIED of snakes. They are pure EVIL if you ask me. There should not be anything that can move without legs! That's just plain creepy and wrong.

Wed. when I was running there was a HUGE rattlesnake in the middle of the road. I literally about stepped on it. Jeremy thought I should have just jumped over it... Oh heck no! I turned right around and burned it as fast as I could! Then I had to keep turning around while running because I just knew that it was chasing after me! Ya, that's how creeped out I am of snakes!

So Thurs. I was scanning the road very carefully as I was running and of course there was another one! This time it was a tiny little baby blowsnake, but none the less, a snake is a snake! I very cautiously went around it, and then ran as fast as I could.

Once again tonight as I was on a peacefull run, what did I see stretched out across half the road??? Another HUGE blowsnake! What the heck??? Here I am trying to do something good and I am being tortured with snakes! But, I am not going to let them stop me! I am determined to keep going.

My little brother Kyle told me I need to start packin (a gun that is). So next time you see me running, I may have one strapped on! (Not really) My dad told me that he would start patrolling on his 4-wheeler for me before I go.

I am just wondering..... why are there snakes on the earth anyway?
