The Best News Ever!!!

I finally got a phone call from Jeremy this morning at 4:00 am and it was so good to hear his voice. He is now in Kuwait and waiting for a flight to come back into the US!!! I am so excited! Then this morning I had an email telling us that it looks like they will be flying in on three separate days, starting on Monday! I feel like a giddy little school girl today. But at the same time, I am really trying to keep in mind that this is the military and you never get your hopes up when they tell you a date because it can change at any given moment.

We decided before he left that he wasn't going to take the two week R&R leave they give them, and that worked out good for us, so it has been a whole year since we have seen him. This has definately been a learning and growing year for us as a family. I can honestly say that this deployment has made us so much stronger as a couple, and as a family. We have not even had an argument since he has been gone. I look at some of my friends who are constantly fighting with their husbands who are over there and wonder "why" ? Why would you waste your time that you get to talk on fighting? To me that is just plain crazy, but that just tells me how strong we are to just trust and rely on each other to get through this.

Another thing that I have realized through all this is how strong I am. I have always known that I could deal with almost anything, but having to do it for a year alone without Jeremy has made me realize that I am strong, and I can do whatever I need to.

I am so excited to begin this new chapter of our lives together as a family. We have both grown so much from our experiences, and we have learned not to take anything for granted, especially the little things in life, and especially in our marriage. We have made it a goal when he gets back to attend the Temple once a month, and I really hope that we can stick to that. It is so hard sometimes with the craziness of life, but I know that if we do that, we will be truly blessed.

So I will keep you posted on a definate date as soon as we get one!

I'm sure you are so excited. I'm so excited just to see my brother. I can't imagain what it'd be like if it was by husband. Hopefully we'll all get to see eachother in the next few weeks when they all get home!

That's so exciting! I hope he gets home soon. What an awesome goal to go to the temple together once a month. You've done such a great job holding it all down while he's been gone. You are definitely a very strong woman and I have so much respect for you. I also have the same respect for Jeremy and what he does. I can't even imagine what it must be like to be away from each other for that long. I bet your kids are so excited to see their Daddy! =)

I am so excited for you and your little family!!! You are so amazing and so are your kids. I don't know that I could do the same in your situation. Tell Jeremy thank you for taking care of all of us at home!!! We love you guys!

I am so exited for you!
~ You have such a great perspective of things. I'm glad you have a good outlook on the situation, and have made so many " positives"..
I hope you get lots of celebrating together the next few months! :)

I love the Temple idea. Chad and I have that goal, and we are striving to make it also. Once a month seems like a piece of cake, but you'll be surprised at how much things pop up.
I hope you'll invite Monica to go with you too! :)

I have to agree that YOU ARE ONE STRONG GIRLY! I honestly didn't think you would do as well as you have this past year (I don't mean that rude at all!) I can't wait for the kids to have their Daddy back and you to get your Hubby back! I'm super proud of you and your family and the sacrifices you've made over the last year, but I'm also glad it's almost over! YEA!!!
